Community Archive

 

The Friends of Delapre are hoping to develop a community archive of memories, tales and resources relating to Delapre Abbey. We wish to collect together copies of relevant documents in an accessible form for anyone interested in the history of Delapre to be able to study. We also hope to use these resources to develop our tours and other educational visits.

 

We have already undertaken some training in recording oral history and have purchased the equipment needed and hope to to help preserve the local people's memories of the Abbey for the future and to ensure that the place of Delapre in the local comunity's history is recorded.
